Directions for how to use Mastering Chemistry is below:

Students register online for MasteringChemistry at www.masteringchemistry.com to gain access to the product for a specific duration.

Students must:

1.   Go to http://www.masteringgenchem.com

2.   Click on the New Students button under “register”

Option 1 (those who purchased a new textbook):
3a.   If you purchased a new textbook from the bookstore, you should already have a registration code included with the textbook materials.

-Select Yes, I have an access code and click continue, then agree with the terms on the next page.

-If you do not yet have a Pearson account (unlikely) click on No under “Do you have a Pearson Education Account?”

-Make a login and password on the page where you enter your access code.

Option 2 (those who purchased a used textbook or do not have a textbook):

3b.   If you purchased a used textbook, or do not have a copy of the text, then it is unlikely that you have a MasteringChemistry access code, and will need to purchase one to proceed.  The fee is $45.

-Select No, I need to purchase access online now.
-Choose our textbook: Atoms First by McMurray and Fay, 1st edition
-Then click to choose if you would like to additionally include ebook access with your masteringchemistry subscription.  It is NOT              necessary that you get an ebook subscription, but is a decent solution for those without texts.
-Proceed through registration (our zip code is 98007), and pay via credit card or paypal.
