- Wednesday, October 19, either at 2:30 in N201 (test will run 2:40-3:40) or at 3:10 (test will run 3:20-4:20) in L212 or L211 if L212 is full.
- 60 minute, timed test
- 20 multiple choice, precalculus questions
- BC's team score is the sum of the 5 best individual efforts (no student simply participating for fun will hurt the team)
- Last year BC placed 1st in the Northwest and 8th in the nation !!!
- Cookies and juice will be provided for participants
- +2 points for each correct answer, -1/2 point for each incorrect answer (0 points for questions left blank)
- TI-82/83/84/85/86/89 calculators are allowed (TI-92's are not)
- $3000 scholarship awarded to the national champion
Any BC student is welcome, even those not enrolled in a math class.
There will be a review session on Monday, October 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 at L211 for interested students.
During a review session students are briefed on the scoring scheme, some general strategies for taking a test like this one are discussed, and problems from previous tests are practiced and analyzed.
