From PSE's web site:
The Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility, located in Central Washington, is Puget Sound Energy's second wind-powered electric generation facility. It is also the utility's largest wind farm with 127 turbines. Wholly owned by PSE, Wild Horse produces enough electricity, on average, to serve approximately 60,000 households. Construction began in October 2005, and was completed in December 2006.

Puget Sound Energy is proposing to expand the Wild Horse Wind Facility by adding approximately 22 new wind turbines. The expansion will provide enough power to serve approximately 10,000 additional homes. (Photo also courtesy of the PSE site.)

Note: Thursday is BCC's Professional Development Day, so there are no classes in session.

BCC Earth Week is organized by the BCC Student Science Association. For more information contact Rob Viens in the BCC Science Division at rviens@bellevuecollege.edu or (425) 564-3158.
