Credit/Grades: Your grade in this class will be based on participation, therefore attendance is important. Everyone can miss one meeting day/field trip without losing any credit, after that it will affect your grade. (This may include 1 activity (lecture/field trip, etc. outside of class.) Since we only meet 5 or 6 times, missing more than 1 day can have a significant effect on your grade. (Coming to seminar late on a regular basis will also affect your participation grade.)

Optional: Last year, since we were talking about food, we asked participated to bring in food one week to share with the group. Although it is not directly related to the topic this quarter, we'd like to try to continue the tradition and ask folks to pick a week to bring a "snack" to share with the group.
