SSA meets every Thursday at 12:30 in C212. Meeting times change each quarter so be sure to check back for regular updates. "Going Green" Sustainable Energy Vote , April 24-30
Last year the Energy Action Team - a subset of the SSA - researched the cost and interest in a student self-imposed fee to pay for a green energy credit. This year this fee, with a few revisions, is on the ballot.

In the spirit of environmental literacy, the BCC Student Science Association (SSA) is sponsoring the ninth annual Earth Week – a week of lectures, demonstrations, information booths, prizes, videos and music!

Valentines Fair Trade Chocolate Sale, Feb. 11-14
The SSA will be selling fair trade chocolate from Equal Exchange, and raising awareness about the social and environmental issues associated with chocolate production. (Read more on fair trade chocolate at the Global Exchange web site.)
Focus the Nation , January 31
BCC participated with over 1100 colleges around the country to focus the attention of the nation on solutions to climate change.
